I had the privilege of working with Roger years ago at Verizon. He always managed to have a positive attitude in good times and bad. As many have said he had an infectious laugh and smile.
We have lost a good man.

To the Clapper family, I want to let you know that I am thinking of you at this time when you are missing Roger. I remember when Roger was born as I was a kid who lived across the street in Lynnwood. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Take Care.

I worked for Roger for several years at Verizon. He was so very highly respected by all of us. We worked so many hours together you feel like you are family. When I chose to leave the company he took me out to lunch and still wanted me to stay. I moved on to a new company but we both still stayed in touch from time to time. I am thankful for our Facebook chats we had after he had his health check. He was such a great man of character and dignity always. His courage and always caring for others was another of his wonderful character traits. I am so sorry for his life being taken to soon. He had so much more to share with all of us. Peace be with you Roger.

So saddened by Roger's passing. We grew up in Arrowhead with Roger - we played hide n seek together until midnight most weekends- from arrowhead dr down to 159th st . Often I saw Roger tagging along with Doug to our house on Saturday mornings - while Doug and my brother Tom hung out... we always considered Roger part of the Olwell family... Miss you much ,
God speed,
Allison (olwell) Barr

Roger, I've known you since 1st grade, Mrs Croiser's class. We were friends thru school. I remember your dad taking us to Mt index on our motorcycles, what fun. I lost track of you when I changed high schools. The loss was mine. What a fine man you turned into. It would have been my honor to have been a close friend at the end. May God bless you and keep you, I'll see you again,in my time.

Roger was the one Manager that most employees wanted to work for. I was always envious of the employees that worked for Roger. They absolutely loved their job and the support that Roger gave them. Roger was truly a quality man! Keeping a great attitude & always making people feel like a winner. I loved his laugh and he always had the biggest smile on his face. I will always remember you and be thankful I was able to know you. Peace be with you Roger.
