Ron was a fine fireman, and a great asset to the Hat Island Community. He worked tirelessly along with my husband Will to make the island as safe a place as possible.
Brian and Sandy, I send you my love and condolences, I remember both of you very well, and also to you Evelyn. May he rest in the peace he deserves.

My most heartfelt sympathies go out to Evelyn and all of Ron's family and friends. I know they must feel a deep loss. Their grief will not be quick to recede, but it will get easier to live with.

Our memories of Ron are of a quiet peaceful man with a good sense of humor. It is hard to face the New Year without your Father, but hopefully the love of family and friends will help to carry you through.

A good man may sound simple, but it is the best description to sum up what Ron was like to me and my family and everyone who came in contact with him. He was like a second father to me, always willing to listen & dish out a heartfelt advice. He opened his house to me during my toughest times and continued on to welcome me & my family & church friends to his home. I will forever remember you my dear friend, rest in peace.

I remember Ron as a tireless volunteer and dedicated family man. He was one of the early Hat Island community members that spent countless weekends installing the water system, keeping our equipment running, providing a volunteer fire department, etc. He was a good man. Brian and Sandy, I'm sorry about your Dad. My condolences to the rest of the family.
