Rory Doyle Obituary

Rory James Doyle

Rory James Doyle passed away suddenly at home on May 22, 2018. Born in Seattle, WA and currently living in Marysville, WA. He went to Queen Anne High School, class of 1968, then worked for many years at Bethlehem Steel in West Seattle. After the Steel Mill was sold, he worked at the Ryobi store and the Sears store, both in Shoreline.

Rory was a jokester with a big heart and loved pulling harmless pranks on people. Becoming a father in his 40's was the highlight of his life. He loved old cars, and has owned over 50 cars throughout his life. He also loved camping, car racing of all types, and boating as he owned a few boats during his lifetime as well.

He is survived by his daughter Elizabeth Theresa Doyle and his sisters Michelle, Charmain, and Renee, and brother Michael, and many nieces and nephews.

Best big brother in the world!! Still so shocked you are gone, I am sooo thankful for that last visit with you, so thank you for that. I always looked up to you, and I know you are smiling down on all of us and keeping us safe, sending 'signs' to us. I loved you, loved you with all your old cars, loved you driving fast to scare the heck out of us, loved you organizing all the kickball and softball games with family and friends --soo much fun, loved your parties and jokes and pranks, and sense of humor, turning the lights off on us downstairs to scare us lol, You were the one who told me no such thing as Santa Claus and I didn't believe you until I heard the garage door open where you said the presents were hid in the trunk of the car and I wasn't happy, lol and just plain always goofing off be it playing out in the street with balls, or riding on home-made go-carts, or sliding down Dravus in the snow on intertubes, throwing snowballs, or playing hide and seek. I will miss you forever, you were always so lively and up for anything. Rest in Peace sweet Rory. Love you, Ren

"Uncle" Rory,
Although there have been many physical miles between us, you've always remained a bright spot in our thoughts and memories. Mom (your half-sister) would tell us the most endearing and funny stories about some your very early boyhood escapades (like when you thought the neighborhood cars needed some fresh paint)....and then later, how much you loved your beautiful daughter. You will be missed, Rory. With much love, Patti

where to start?.. our softball games, rat races thought magnolia, cruising through downtown, looking at cars for sale, hide and seek in the neighborhood, always good for a laugh, we relied on you many times and i know it was hard for you. I am in shock, but i will always cherish your memory and miss you more than i can say. Forever in my heart Rory I love you.
