I knew Steven through our therapy sessions at CMH in Astoria. Steven was a quiet guy, but, was a guy who was giving it his all. He made a strong impression, his perseverance was strong. We all loved Steven in our group. We are so sorry to hear of his passing.

Sorry to hear of the loss of Steve. I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to see him several times when he was living with his Aunt Betty and Uncle Toby.

"Steve, I will never forget"
With my broken heart, I am left with my memories,
sealed forever, by my side.
Memories, I will always keep deep down inside.
I will never forget, for deep in my heart you will
always stay.
Rest in peace, Steve

Uncle Steve...
I remember the many family dinners, where You, Aunt Charlotte and my father would sit around the kitchen table sharing police stories. The home videos and holiday dinners. I remember (and appreciate) the many trips I was invited to with you, Aunt Charlotte, Athena, Rob, Sherry, Shawn, Tara and Beau. The long road trip to Arizona for a convention (and the long ride back in the truck with a flat tire lol). The sand castle competitions, touring historical sites in Oysterville, Ocean Shores and Long Beach. The campfire stories at Port Susan. You were always so full of life (and jokes hehehe). I remember you walking throughout the house singing small snippets of Elvis (loudly LOL). I remember riding in your many military vehicles in various parades. So many great memories.. I am truly at a loss for words. My heart, love, thoughts and condolences go out to the family. You were one of my favorite Uncles, and I will truly miss you. I love you Uncle Steve! Thank you for everything. Rest in Paradise.

I was stunned to hear of Steve's passing. Steve and I worked the Ballard car (SPD) back in 1970, he was assigned to train me and show me the ropes. Working with him was a pleasure and fun. He was a 'good cop' with a positive attitude, plus the benefit of having a Dad that ran a bakery, which we would stop at to visit his father on many occasion. We worked first watch, which started at 3:30 AM. He was a man with many interests; a avid reader and historian. I could go on, I am sure his close friends and family will miss him and keep his memory alive.

I will always think of Steve sitting at the clerks desk in the West Precinct...and talking about his military equipment...especially the tank. Rest in peace brother officer.

Thank you, Steven, for taking as your second wife my beautiful cousin, Charlotte. That union blessed you both and our family with two amazing individuals, Tara and Beau. We are so lucky to have them in our lives. My sincere condolences to all the members of your extended family.

I had the great pleasure of sitting with Steven and Sharon at Sherie and Michael's wedding dinner. They shared memories of their many world-wide trips. What a fine and genuine person Steven was. Sherie, Sharon and family - please accept my sympathy for the loss of your father, loving partner and grandfather. Merrill RiChey Meredith

I graduated from Ballard in 1963, and found Steven on page 80 of my High school annual.I didn't know Steve, but feel a kinship with everyone that attended Ballard, especially if their in the same year book. I was a viet nam era vet,and salute Steven's service.
