Susan Arbury Obituary
It is with great sadness that our dearest Susan Arbury, passed away of a sudden, unexpected illness on July 17 with her sister, daughter and husband by her side. We know that she did not intend to leave this world so soon. We also know that she would say we must trust in this moment, as it is, and know that everything is perfect and as it should be even if it doesn't feel that way. She would want us to be close to her in a different way now, listen for her messages and feel her unconditional love as it will continue to be with us always.
Susan was born in Seattle on March 9, 1949 to Ted and Helen. She graduated from Shoreline High School in 1967 and attended University of Puget Sound in 1968 where she was an Adelphian, earned her bachelor's in music and made friends as close as family. She had her daughter Autumn in 1977, married Chuck in 1990 and was a life-long learner and teacher earning her teaching certificate and master's in administration. Her passions were music, children, and animals and all three were incorporated into her everyday life.
In Susan's honor, show your unconditional love to children and animals and sing or listen to your favorite music.
There will be public service on August 4th at 11:00 AM at the Thunder Mountain Middle School, 42018 264th Ave SE, Enumclaw, WA 98022.

I was listening to a young lady singing `Phantom of the Opera´ tunes and Susan came to mind. I searched on her name with "singer" included and this Legacy notice was the top of the list. I was sad to see this loss of a wonderful person that I knew for only a short time during a difficult time in her life. I knew Susan for a brief but memorable time when she stayed at our ranch in Northern California´s Shasta County in the 60s. I remember her having a beautiful voice and a tender sweetness about her and assumed that she would go on to become an opera singer. For the few weeks or months that she was with us at our ranch, she influenced us "rough around the edges" ranch boys to exhibit a politeness around the ladies that I still carry to this day, nearly 60 years later. My condolences to her family. I am confident that if Heaven needs another angel with an angelic voice, Susan will be there now!
