Thomas Fisher Obituary
Thomas M. Fisher was born June 5, 1926 in Seattle and died March 19, 2017. He had lived in the same house in Shoreline for 68 years.
Tom joined the Navy in December, 1943. He was assigned to the U.S.S. Mississippi, a battleship that saw significant action in the Pacific. He met his wife Margaret while on leave in Washington D.C. After the war, she joined him in Seattle where they were married. Tom worked for the telephone company, retiring after 38 years.
Tom had a passion for boats and boating that started early and lasted a lifetime. While always working on a building project, Tom was proudest of the 30-foot Monk designed diesel cabin cruiser he built in his backyard.
Tom was preceded in death by his beloved wife Margaret. He is survived by three children: Terri Treadwell, Janet Godfrey and Tom Fisher; and a granddaughter Christine Godfrey.
Tom has requested no memorial service. He will be remembered as a gentleman and a friend to many.
