Thomas M. Morton

Thomas M. MORTON Husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who cared deeply for family. Born and raised in Southern California. A natural musician, he played violin, having his own radio show as a young boy. After serving in the US Navy as a weatherman during WW II, Tom studiedat, and graduated from the University of Washington. Tom married Irene July 23, 1949, settled in Seattle, later in Shoreline to raise their family. Tom started his career at Safeway, working his way to manager. Having a passion for education, he transitioned and taught math at Redmond Jr High School for 28 years, where he coached softball, football, and wrestling. Tom kept active by traveling in his motorhome with his wife, dancing, bowling, rock hounding, wood carving, crossword puzzles, and golfing. Survived by his wife of 62 years, Irene, daughter Patty (Doug), son Robert (Lori), five granddaughters, and 4 great grandsons. A celebration luncheon will be held to remember Tom Saturday, January 14th, from 1-4 pm at Emerald Hills Estates Club House 14727 43rd Ave NE, Marysville, Wa.
