Tyler James GREER July 08, 1972 ~ December 21, 2011 With great sadness, the family and friends of Tyler James Greer, mourn his sudden and unexpected passing, due to heart attack, on December 21st. He was a happy baby and a proud big brother to Travis, born just two and a half years later. Tyler enjoyed playing baseball, basket ball and soccer. But from the early age of 6, Tyler wanted to go fishing. This became his lifelong passion, and his fishing buddies, his lifelong friends. Growing up in Lake Washington's Sheridan Beach neighborhood provided many opportunities to fish. Tyler, Travis and their friends spent much time swimming in the lake, boating, and water-skiing. Tyler even had a Seattle Times paper route and was often 'assisted' by the family cocker spaniel, Sophie. His early years were highlighted by boat trips to RocheHarbor and visiting Grandma and Grandpa Greer in Hawaii. In fact, it was on a boat trip to Wallace Island where, Tyler, age 8, first got "hooked"on the sport of fishing, from Birch Bay, and eventually, to Neah Bay. Tyler attended Lake Forest Park Elementary, Kellogg Middle School and Shorecrest High School. Later, Tyler attended Lake Washington Technical College and received his certifi cation as an RV technician. He worked at Roy Robinson RV, where he considered his co-work ers his second family, and fished with them for years. Tyler was an expert salmon fisherman, and he especially loved going to Neah Bay and Westport . Tyler lived to fish!! He is survived by his father, Jim Greer, mother, Linda Eckhart, brother, Travis Greer, and his beloved cocker spaniel, Bailey. Donations may be made to castforkids.org, and Seattle Milk Fund.org. I remember Tyler from my work as a counselor in the Shoreline School District. He was a very nice young man - friendly and popular with many groups. Wished we more Tylers on the planet.

TYLER JAMES GREER IN HEAVEN
February 3, 2012
The roses aren't as pretty
The sun isn't quite as high
The birds don't sing as sweet of a lullaby
The stars are a little bit faded
The clouds just a little more gray
And it feels like things won't ever be the same
Heaven got another angel the night
you left this world behind
Heaven got a little better the day
it took you away from me
I'm missing you tonight
I'll see you again sometime
For now I'll close my eyes
And dream of heaven tonight
The beaches aren't as lovely
The sky isn't quite as blue
Still they're sweetened by the memory of you
The rain is a little bit colder
The fire is never quite as warm
Still it seems that heaven isn't all that far
I'm spending a little more time now
With the things that mean a little bit more
I'm noticing the wonders of this world
I love with a little more hope now
I live with a little more peace
Cause I understand how precious life can be

HEAVEN GOT ANOTHER ANGEL

Read the Shoreline area e-news this morning and was shocked to learn about Tyler. We forwarded the information to Jeff. We have so many wonderful memories of Tyler and your family. We treasure those days with our sons on the soccer fields--even those cold, rainy, and occasional snowy days when our boys were running in the mud and parents were freezing on the sidelines. We shared many great family memories at Shorecrest, too. Our "kids" grew up so quickly.
Our hearts are deeply saddened by the loss of Tyler. Our prayers are with all of you as you struggle through the loss of one so dear and special. May you all find solace and peace in the wealth of memories shared with Tyler. Blessings to all of you.
