Memorial service is May 18 at 2:00 p.m. at Calvin Presbyterian Church, 18826 3rd Avenue NW, Shoreline 98177.

I had two boys at Highland Terrace, they are a bit younger than Val, but I was at school a lot volunteering and working with the PTA. I remember your sweet Val, sorta quiet, with a pretty smile. I was lucky to know Val at Highland Terrace Elem.. Every time I saw her, she would smile and light up my day. I still use the little bag she made me in her sewing class. I am deeply sorry for your loss.

In the short time we were allowed to spend with your daughter at the Redmond Home Depot, she touched each and everyone of us on the night crew with her smile, her love for people, and helping everyone when needed. I hope you know how much she is missed by us all.

I feel blessed that I had the oppertunity to have met your wonderful daughter. She brought a lot of joy to us at the Redmond Home Depot.
