Wm. James

"Jim" Etheridge

Jim entered heaven on October 7th 2013 at the age of 85. Born October 16th 1927 in Arkansas to Jettie Homer and Frank A. Etheridge. Jim is survived by his wife Ina Louise, two sons; Mark, David and daughter, Vicki Blair (Robert), seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, three brothers, one deceased, and four sisters. Jim served five years active duty in the Navy on U.S.S. Valley Forge, U.S.S. Kearsarge and the Korean war. While stationed in Seattle in 1951 he met and married Louise Carlson, they celebrated 62 years of marriage. Jim opened the first barber shop at Aurora Village in 1961 and drove buses for Seattle City Transit, Greyhound and Seattle Metro where he retired after 30 years. Jim loved and was proud of his family, he liked fishing and traveling in their motor home across the country to meet up with long time friends.

He was a member of VFW and Masons.

Memorial services will be held on 10/29 at Shoreline Community Church at 2:00 p.m., 125 N.E. 185th St., Shoreline, WA 98155.

Memorial donations can be made to the National Stroke Association.
