The last time I visited with Ingrid I was attending a memorial get-together for Herbert Schlansky at Acacia cemetery in North Lake City. We used to see each other from time to time in the Terry Avenue Building when the phone company was still called USWest. One day she came to work all dressed up in a chic purple evening gown with a matching sequined bolero jacket. She was going out after her shift was over to Jazz Alley with a friend and knew ahead of time that she wouldn't have a chance to go home and change. Standing there in front of the elevator, radiant, she looked like she was ready for a big night on the town. A vision and the memory that I'll cherish most when I think of her. Go get 'em, Ingrid!

There are no words to express the sadness we feel at losing Ingrid so suddenly and at a time when her life was finally becoming her own. She gave so much of herself to others. David and I will miss her smile, sense of humor and her unfiltered love. Mel Cossette

My thoughts and prayers go out to Ingrid's family. Ingrid was one of my mother's dear friends. I have known her for much of my life. As an adult, I really came to appreciate Ingrid as I got to know her better. She was a bright, fun, forthright and honest person and I will miss her greatly.
