To the Byers Family,

We were so sorry to hear of your great loss. As neighbors, friends and customers of your family we experienced Bob's warm, open and friendly demeanor. He was always happy to take a moment to see how we were doing. Whenever we needed a new car he was always up for Barbra's long and hard negotiating tactics. It became fun for all of us. We will miss him.

Our prayers are with you.

It has been a long time but so many great memories come back like they were just yesterday. Mr. Byers was gentle, giving, caring, humble, loving, thoughtful, forgiving, graceful, understanding, devoted, and patient; to name just a few of his memorable qualities. What a wonderful man and unforgettable role model.
My thoughts are with the entire family during this most difficult time.

To my dear Aunt Dorothy, Mike, Susan, Doug, and Kathy:

Uncle Bob leaves behind the best legacy anyone could hope for - all of you! His faith, kindness and warmth are qualities that will be always remembered and treasured. We pray that the knowledge he is with his Savior, and many wonderful memories you share will carry you through the days ahead. We are so proud of the quality of character he demonstrated in every area of his life. Our family especially appreciates the interest he and Aunt Dorothy have invested in Childrens Hospital. It is just a slice of the many positive ways he shaped the world around him. Many people can count themselves blessed to have participated in his life.

It has been many years since I have talked to (Great) Uncle Bob, I remember him as a very kind and thoughtful person. He always had time to talk with me when I called (which was not often). I always thought of him when I would hear or see his ads. He will be missed and remembered.

Although it has been quite a few years since we have seen Bob, we remember him as a very kind and gracious person and an avid supporter of the Huskies. He always had time to talk with us when we were in town. He will be missed so very much.

I knew Bob only as a customer and as a salesman who was proud to help with the showroom, but I knew he was a gentleman, a class act who treated those around him with dignity. The business he operated reflected that attitude throughout. His passing is a loss to Seattle and the business community.

Bob, "Horatio Alger", a real blessing in my life, was a 'one-of-a-kind' Brother-in Law. He was handsome, charming and caring socially, and wise, kind and reliable in family matters, especially in every case where integrity and/or patriotism were involved. In his own inimitable way he extended his strong principles of life to my children, his nephew and nieces; I will be eternally grateful and I know they will be, too. The gracious manner, engaging smile and warmth he always dispayed on family occassions is a part of our lives that will be forever remembered. His life is also embodied in his whole family, and I know their loss is overwhelming right now. My heartfelt sympathy is with them just as my love goes to them always.

Mr.Byers was the name that I said when speaking to or about Mr.Byers. He was a great friend of my family, and since we were little kids, you could always count on him to be a positive and always happy guy. I fondly remember the times when all of the "old timers" were up at Arrowhead Elementary playing basketball against us young bucks, feeling our oats when he would come in and swat our shot into the next county. He was the ultimate "gamer" but had such a nice disposition, we didn't care when we were being throttled. It is pretty simple to say everyone who knew him will miss him and our thoughts go out to the family and Ms. Byers. Truly a totally incredible class A gentleman.

I'm saddened to learn of Mr. Byers passing. I have fond memories of him as my Cub Scout Webelos Den Leader. My sincere condolences to Mike and family.

To all of Uncle Bobs Family, We just want to say how proud we are to call him Uncle Bob. He was a man to look up to, a man of faith, honesty, and a gentleman. Always fun to visit with. ' What a wonderful time we all had at the last family reunion, and what a great time our children and grandchildren had getting to know Uncle Bob, Aunt Dorothy and all of your wonderful family. We are so sorry that we can't be there to give you a hug and share stories, and tell you how much we will miss him. We are here in Princeville Kauai, close to the golf course and everytime we go by it, we think of him, and how much he enjoyed golfing. We have been praying for him throughout his illness and will continue to pray for your family as you go through this difficult time of healing. We love you all and hope to get all of us together again soon. With our Love and Prayers

I have Known Bob since I was a kid washing cars at Seattle Auto in the early sixties. When Nancy and I were married 39 years ago, Bob and Dorothy were in the congregation and I still remember him giving me a "thumbs up" as we walked down the aisle. When I was working my way through the UW, Bob taught me the fine art of selling cars professionally. He was alway there to pat you on the back when a deal came together. Above all, Bob was always a gentleman, warm and honest. He will be greatly missed.

As a longtime customer of Bob Byers Volvo, I had the pleasure of meeting with Bob many times. One of the nicest persons on this planet! I truly enjoyed the times he would ask me in to his office and we would just chat about the world AND HUSKY FOOTBALL!!! Brenda and I want the Byers family to know that we thought the world of Bob and know he will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

To my favorite Uncle, incredible family man, avid Husky fan, never-at-a-loss for words guy, family jokester, and the most genuine caring Gentleman I've ever known.....you will always remain the Handsome, Debonair Uncle Bob in my heart with whom I have the utmost admiration and respect. My Uncle Bob will remain an icon in my life and never be forgotten. He shares a birthday with my oldest daughter and a lifetime of fond memories....especially those of Thanksgiving dinners (with or without power due to wind storms) and a Tripoloy tradition that followed with all the pennies in the place!!!! The Easter brunches and egg hunts at their home (with penny scrambles in the backyard), and Inglewood, and the Everett Golf and Country Club always bring fun memories to mind!! I hold the entire Byers clan at a special place in my heart since they are so gracious and giving and sincerely connected as a family. They have become such a strong family unit due to the wonderful mentoring role models of Bob and Dorothy. This family has endured endless ups and downs and numerous joys and sorrows and the unconditional love for one another always prevails. I am content that Uncle Bob is free of suffering now and finally at peace, but know for sure he remains in all our hearts as one of the kindest, classiest men on Earth...who's now in Heaven above! Hugs of love from your Flower girl, Debbi !!! Xoxoxo forever.
