Shahin Khatibi GHAVAMIAN Shahin passed away peacefully Monday, April 4, 2011, following a stroke and medical complications. Shahin was born in Tehran on March 26, 1931, to Efthekhar Khatibi and Gohar Behbehani and was married to Col. Mohsen Ghavamian. Shahin loved to sew, knit, entertain, and share cooking secrets with her children. Most of all, she loved spending time with her large family and many friends. Shahin is survived by her children Kayhan (Farah), Kian (Judy), Kimia Dorri (Bijan), Kata Suarez (Francis), 12 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Mohsen and her son Kamran. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 10, at the Acacia Memorial Park in Seattle. Best Wishes to the Ghavamian, Dorri, and Suarez families. Shahin was a lovely woman with a kind heart, a sweet smile, and an ever ready warm hug.
