The creative modelmaster at work!

Just received tonight my online Boeing Wind Tunnel Newsletter with the news that my Boeing Windtunnel & brother in Modelmaking has passed.
He was such a treasured friend and gifted co-worker, and the true meaning of the word...BOEING BROTHER.

Being assigned to work with John was truly a welcome pleasure in that often "CREATE ON DEMAND" want it finish yesterday world of aviation R&D aerodynamics.
Even better, John was always available to help make our day a little brighter not only with his amazing skills in teaching us how to build a better model but most of all, the beautiful way in which he made our world a better place to live and play.
THANKS BIG JOHN, ITS BEEN GOOD TO KNOW YA!
John, will live in my memories until we meet again...above the earth, where the angels fly.

To all of Johnny's family, so sorry to hear of Johnny's death. My Mom cherished you and Johnny's friendship thru out the years. I remember visits to your house when I was younger, the laughter, the piano playing (was the pianist John Jr.?) just the overall joy. Thank-you both for being such good friends and sharing your lives with my parents. Your picture tribute tells of a life well lived. May your Johnny meet up with all his friends and loved ones who preceeded him. God bless,
Linda Jones and Family

Uncle Johnny,
You were always such a delight to speak with, so knowledgeable about so many things and happy to share that knowledge with others.
I will always remember your appreciation of my Roses. I hope you're now surrounded with beautifully colored roses for eternity.
We will always miss your gentle and soft spoken personality.
Love ya,
Cathy Gorney

I only got to know John for a few years when he came back to the Seattle model shop, but it was a real privilege. He probably forgot more about vintage model building than most of us will ever learn. He had great stories about a fascinating life and he was above all a really nice guy.
