Kathryn Callahan Obituary

Kathryn W. CALLAHAN Our beloved mother & grandmother passed away on March 30, 2011 at the age of 95 after a long struggle with dementia. Kathryn was born in Elkton, South Dakota, June 15, 1915. Her passions were being a homemaker, crocheting, and sewing. Kathryn is survived by her sons Richard and Robert Callahan, daughter-in laws Iola and Judy, sisters Louise Ferguson and Arlene Hughes, sister in law Edna Karsten, five grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Kathryn was preceded in death my husband Louis, of thirty three years; son Louis Jr.; three sisters Martha Brehm, Frieda Tank, and Lorene Gamradt, along with her brother Carl Karsten and great granddaughter Madeline Callahan. Services will be held at Greenwood Memorial Park, 350 Monroe Ave NE, Renton, WA 98056, Wednesday, April 6th at 1:30 pm. The family would like to thank Regency of Auburn's staff for their care and services. Memorials may be made to the Western Washington Alzheimer's Association 100 W. Harrison, N 200 Seattle, WA 98119. For those who cannot attend there will be an online tribute at www.DiginityMemorial.com.

Enjoyable pictures of our special Aunt Minnie-with the twinkle in her eyes. Her Mn. visits with her siblings were an exciting reunion. Hope the flowers arrived with an Angel attached. There is indeed Angels among us. Also, thanks for the phone calls. In loving memory of a Wonderful Aunt. We will love you and miss you always.
