I will always keep in my heart the time that we have shared. Though it was short the memory will last forever. I have heard so many wonderful stories from Pat, Dave, and Buddy and I am glad that I could relive those moments with them. Family has always been important to me and I am so grateful to be apart of the Ziehe family. We love you and you will always be with us!!

Having grown up as a foster kid, the wish i had most in my life was to be a part of a real family. You and Pop were always there for Dave and i and the boys. What great memories we have, and some so funny. You had to come get Buddy and i because Buddy put a hot wheel tire up his nose. The doc. worked over a hour trying to get it out. You told me, Dave did the same thing only it was a rock. I loved all your stories about Dave and his brothers. Mom you will be so missed! I love you! Pattie Ziehe

I remember walking home from school and stopping off at gradma's for fresh baked cookies. We always had Christmas Eve with the whole family at Grandma and Grandpa's. Grandma also took Peter and I bowling on Saturday's for kid's league. There are so many memories I have it is hard to pinpoint just one. The memory I will keep with me is when I finally brought my wife Roberta to meet Grandma for Thanksgiving. We loved sharing that time together with the family.
Grandma you will surely be missed by everyone you touched!!
Roberta wished she could have been able to get to know you better to see what an incredible woman you were!
We Love you and you will always remain in our Hearts!!

I will never forget all those days after school coming to Gram's for some freshly baked chocolate chip cookies or going to the bowling alley to visit her working in the nursery. She was a caretaker and giver to everyone around her, family, friend or stranger. She was the first one to take care of any of us grandkids, picking us up from school when we were sick, schlepping all of us around to friends' houses and errands. She was tireless in her dedication to family and doing what she thought was right for all of us. Her smile was infectious and her excitement for any holiday (that allowed her to deck the house out in every and any relevant garb she could find) was beyond comparison. I have never seen a stronger or more spirited woman. She fought for every bit of her life all the way to the end. We will miss you, Grams. Love, Jenny

Most of my fondest memories of my childhood are of my times spent with my grandparents. From our trips to Iowa for visit or spending the nights at grams. I would wake up to my choice of waffle or pancakes. I always chose waffles so I could put butter in every square and she would always let me do it. Her calls saying she had fresh bread or cookies coming out of the oven and needed me to check them out to see if they are ok (hence my weight problems lol). She was always cooking up something amazing and as I was lucky enough to live in walking distance I was always there. She always did whatever she could to help up out when we needed it, from a ride to school or an afterschool activity she was always there. I know she was this way with alot of people that were not even family that was just her way and she made an impression on them all. I will miss my gram greatly and will always treasure all my wonderful memories of my life growing up with a wonderful grandma. I hope I can make such memories with my grandchildren. She had a strength and determination bigger than life. She touched us all. I love you gram and miss soooo already.

I will always remember and hold close to my heart all the times I spent with you. From being a youngster and going to grams to get in the cookie jar to being an adult and sitting with you and talking for hours. No matter what it was always possible to get a smile out of you. I have your smile and sneaky little laugh with your shoulder shrug implanted in my mind and it makes me smile every time I think of you! =) You'll always be loved and missed so very much.

My sympathy to the Ziehe family for the loss of Marion. I enyoyed visiting with Marion at the Wood reunion 2010. I know she had a rough time getting to Iowa from Washington but she was determined she was going to make it one last time to see all the Aunts Uncles and Cousins.

I was just remembering when I was younger and Gram worked at Skyway Park bowl. Everyone there called her Grandma and I remember one time arguing with some little boy because he said she was everyone's grandma and I was trying to explain that she really is mine. I was so mad because I though I owned her lol. Now that I'm older I'm glad I was able to share such a wonderful woman. Always in our hearts!

Marion was my eldest cousin, was a great start for what would become a HUGE group of cousins. She was cute as a button, while young, and still until her last days. It was always so enjoyable to sit and watch her move around making sure everybody was attended to. So much energy in such a small package. I'll miss her, but she truly deserves to be at rest with the lord.

It was wonderful to see Marion and Wayne at the family reunion. It took alot of will power to make that trek for the last time. You could tell that she wanted to be there with family that she loved. To the Ziehe family your thoughts are in our prayers. Take care till our paths meet again.

Mom, you have meant so much to me. You taught me life's lessons, some were tougher to learn than others, but you were always there for me when I needed it most. We didn't always agree but we respected each other no matter what. I'll always appreciate learning to take life as it is given to you, and to get on with living to the fullest. Love you so much, Don

My sincere condolences to my Uncle Wayne, cousins and their families. Would you please send an address where I can send a card?
Aunt Marion was such a small, determined person. I remember when Mom had Wynette. It was a cold spring and Dad was left with Monica, Tom, Linda and me. He worked in town and farmed, so Aunt Marion came every day while Mom was in the hospital. She baked and cooked and treated us like we were worth caring for.... At that time, we were so poor, it was hard for Mom and Dad to keep food on the table. It was like Christmas everyday.... Hershey candy bar pies and raised doughnuts, cakes....
It was hard on Mom when Uncle Wayne and Aunt Marion moved away. Uncle Wayne was her best friend... and she was now almost totally alone with Grandma as her only lifeline.
Personally, I wish we could have had more time with our boy cousins. Our last foray with the Ziehe boys was stealing apples at night from the orchard by their house. It was amazingly good fun (illegal as it was). Aunt Marion converted all the fruit to wine... and the Ziehe's and the wine disappeared into the great Pacific Northwest.

It has been fifty years since our souls have crossed paths, but your kindness has never diminished with us Marion. As young renegades , we the Martin boys always enjoyed our time in Nashua playing on the corner of Mill and Maple streets with the Ziehe family.

We are so thankful to have taken Marion and Wayne to the Wood Family reunion last July. The trip had some rough moments but was quite a success overall. Marion was able to visit with many of her aunts and an uncle as well as cousins galore. En route we stopped in Minnesota and visited with her late sister's family. She enjoyed this so very, very much. Our gratitude goes to Del and Erma for their hospitality. She spoke of her visits for months and reveled in her memories.
