Edwin Gamon Obituary

Edwin Riley GAMON Edwin R. Gamon, 77, of Yakima died Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at Yakima Regional Hospital. Mr. Gamon was born in Sprague, WA and raised in Yakima, WA. He graduated from Yakima High School in 1951. He also graduated from the School of Architecture at the University of Washington in 1957. Mr. Gamon enjoyed a career as a licensed architect and a member of the AIA and practiced in the Seattle area until his retirement. He also enjoyed a career as a talented and successful water color artist for the past 20 years. After his retirement Ed and his wife relocated back to Yakima where they both were raised. Ed enjoyed many years of hiking, skiing, swimming and designing garden projects as well as his endless love of crossword puzzles. He will be remembered as a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Ed is survived by his wife, Ann Gamon of Yakima; brother, Max Gamon of Tulalip, WA; four children, Trina Cooper of Payson, AZ; Bruce Gamon of Everett, WA; David Gamon of Fall City, WA and Mark Gamon of Yakima WA; also three grandchildren and one great grandson.
