Shirley WAGNER Obituary

Shirley Yvonne Barker WAGNER Shirley was born on December 5, 1927 and passed away on May 13, 2011 in the loving care of her husband, Gene Wagner. Shirley grew up in the Seattle area and graduated from Roosevelt High in 1946. She married Gene, the love of her life, in 1947 and they started a wonderful journey together. She was proud mother of Ron Wagner (Karen) of Portland; Carol Allmand (Ralph) of Cle Elum; and Terry Wagner (deceased). Shirley was nurturing, loving and caring to her family and many friends.She enjoyed the role of grandmother and was held in high esteem by grandchildren Trevor Wagner, Kate Hutchens, James Hutchens, Renee' Wagner, Casey Saboe and Brittany Hutchens and two great-grand-children. An excellent seamstress and decorator, Shirley was creative in designing costumes for grand-children and remodeling and furnishing her homes. An adventurous and independent person, early summers were filled with grandchildren and taking family boat trips to April Point.In recent years Shirley and Gene enjoyed traveling in their motor coach and making many friends in Chula Vista and Pend Oreille. She was preceded in death by her parents Gladys and Ed Barker, brother Jack Barker and son Terry Wagner. In addition to her family listed above, Shirley is survived by her brother Brian Barker (Carol), nieces, nephews and numerous cousins, including Karen McGough who was like a sister. Beloved by all who knew her, Shirley was gracious, charming and beautiful!
