Anita Hubbard Obituary

Anita Hubbard

May 19, 1919 ~ March 30, 2013

Born Mary Anita Reed in Owatonna, Minnesota. Raised in Burlington, Colorado, where she graduated. Her parents, Donald & Margaret Reed, then moved Anita and her 5 siblings, Gordon, Roxanne, Meletta, Kermit & Spencer, to Puyallup.

Anita was an example of graciousness to all, ready with a warm smile and genuine kindness. Her greatest happiness came from her family. She loved the Mariners, and enjoyed frequent visits to Hawaii, Sequim, Reno and cruising to Alaska, Mexico & the Caribbean. We will miss her more than words can express, as well as her mouthwatering apple, pumpkin and lemon meringue pies and her delicious sugar cookies at Christmas time.

She is survived by her daughter, JoAnn (Jerome) Forrester; granddaughter, Shelly (Skip) Shear, predeceased by grandson Ron Forrester; survived by great grandchildren, Jennifer & Spencer Shear, all of Renton; her longtime travel companion & roommate, Mavis King, of Auburn; her sister, Meletta Newbill of Calif; extended family Jerry & Tracey Larson and family, especially Krista Minor; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial will be held April 19th at 4 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Auburn.
