I was great friends with Bob since 1976 when I met him in the Real Estate Business. He was always funny, smart and quick to laugh. I often offered to take him to lunch and is every reply was, "I will take the money instead" We always had a good laugh. Bob was my golf buddy, I really didn't want to golf unless he was there. Golf with Bob was like an expedition. He spent as much time looking for lost balls that others lost. He would pop out of the woods with a big smile on his face and a handful of nice new balls. He said he "loved golfing with millionaires, they never spend much time looking for their lost balls" Bob surprised me with a trip to Arizona for my 40 birthday, we spent 3 days goofing off and golfing. That was 18 years ago, how time flies. I came up to WA from CA last summer to see Bob, I knew he wasn't well. We shared some great moments together and when I had to go we had a long hug while he sat there in his dialysis bed and he said " Spaghetti, you've been the best friend" Mike his son called me the next day and said he was gone. Rest in peace Bob and Kate, I love you both!! Thank you for everything.

Dear Sarver Family,

What a wonder way to have lived life as Mr. & Mrs. Sarver did. Everyone should strive to have the kind of relationship that probably seemed so easy for them. How blessed they must have been and what joys and blessings they surely gave to others.

God Continue to Bless,

I don't know this couple at all but what a wonderfully powerful love story. This should be what we are talking about on the nightly news not tragedy and mayhem. This makes me warm inside.

Not even knowing your parents, their story brought me to tears.
Your parents were partners in every sense of the word. Their love goes beyond "death do us part". Few of us will never know that type of love in our lifetime. How blessed you were as children and their grandchildren to have them here as long as they were so they were able too see a true relationship. You do take the love with you.
May God Bless your family.

I personally have never met this wonderful couple but have been so inspired by their love story, both in life and death.

My condolences to Mike and Susan for the loss of your parents. May you have faith and find comfort in the promise of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, at John 11:25 which states: "I am the resurrection and the life. He that exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life." Soon, this prophecy will be a reality. Dad and Mom will awaken from sleep in death, smiling, arms around each other, alive and well, free of sicknesses and the sting of death, happy to be alive once again to enjoy living forever in a beautiful paradisaic earth.

My memories of your Dad are mostly at the store. He always took time to chat with the kids. When I think of him I think of his big smile. Both of your folks will be greatly missed by Kirkland.. My thoughts are with your family.

One of my earliest memories is sneaking across "the highway", (Market Street) to buy candy at Sarver's. Mr Sarver never ratted on me. He was a great man. Bonnie McLeod

I will always remember seeing Bob and Katherine at Sarver's Market and at the old Kirkland Ball Park. They were almost an institution in Kirkland. Bob's sense of humor was quick and very funny.
I am saddened that they are gone...my thoughts and prayers are with the family and especially 'Mickie' whom I have known for more years than I like to count.
Blessings.
Affectionately,
