Our deepest sympathy to the family of Al. We knew how much he loved his family by reading Facebook posts! We also knew by visiting him at our family reunion in Minnesota a few years back how much he loved the Lord Jesus! Our prayers are with you all. God bless!

I first met Al and Bridgett through the coffee stand when I was just in high school. We saw each other often talked about life and then figured out that he worked with my grandpa at Boeing in Renton. He would alway be giving me advise on life and filling me in on politic and such! After Bridgett passed I saw Al a lot at the coffee stand. I tried to keep his spirits up and tell him that someday this would get easier and that he would see her again. He is such a strong man with a heart of Gold. Once I was enrolled in beauty school and then graduated I was now his hair stylist. I got to know Shelby his grand daughter who he adored and also son Kurt and wife Catrina by Al telling them to come to my salon. He would always drop off the most beautiful roses he grew in his yard at home. It was always nice to get roses from him they were the best smelling roses I have ever smelt. I will miss that dearly. Few years later my brother died and Al was there for me telling me that I would make it and that I would to see him again. I am very thankful that I had Al as a friend in my life he was family and I'll never forget that. You are truly missed and loved by so many people. I'm thankful that I got to see you and say hello to you the day your new journey started. I will miss you forever and you will have a place in my heart. Your are now free of any pain and you are with your lovely wife now. Tell my brother hi for me . Love you Al

The peace of God, which passes all understanding, keep your heart and mind in Christ Jesus in your grief. I loved Bert's laugh, and his sense of goodwill. He will be missed-- but he is held in great and powerful love.

My thoughts are with my nephews, their wives and children. I have many fond childhood memories of Al, he loved children and was good to them, I was one of those who he was very good to and was grateful for his love and always remained appreciative of him. I will miss him and always remember him, I feel blessed to have had him as my brother-in-law, but always loved him as a brother. My love to the boys and their family, Aunt Irene
