Alexander Balderrama Obituary
Alexander BALDERRAMA Born 1/18/51 Son of Maria Padilla & Alejandro, beloved father of Forest Machala, Alex passed suddenly on 4/2/11. Survived by sister Esther Cisneros, her husband Tory and family of Alhambra, CA. Alex was a fine visual/graphic artist, AEA actor, musician & skilled tradesman. Worked at Dunn Lumber. Born in Los Angeles, graduated Alhambra High School 1969, lettered in Varsity football (All City). Attended Immaculate Heart College, majored in Performing Arts. Apprenticed at Ahmanson Music Ctr & worked at the Mark Taper before moving to Seattle in '79. Was part of the original Group Theatre Co and founding member of Seattle Teatro Latino. Toured with Mixed Blood Theatre Co, Minneapolis. His greatest love was his son and the adventures they shared. A teddy bear of a man, cheerful, generous, and kind, Alex will be forever missed by his family and his large circle of friends. Memorial June 18.
