Alfred Ray Davidson was born November 18, 1917, and passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 11, 2013. Al was the only son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred James Davidson of Claremont, NH. He graduated from New Hampshire College and went on to serve in the elite 10th Mountain Division of the US Army during World War II.
Al met the love of his life Jerre Ann Gemmill during military training on Mt. Rainier at Paradise. They were married on August 10, 1943 in New Jersey. They ultimately settled in Federal Way, WA where they raised their four children; Pam, Peter, Patti, and Paula. He entered the aerospace business and worked for Boeing until he retired in 1990. Al and Jerre were married for over 60 years and had 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Al enjoyed tennis, skiing, and playing cribbage. He was an active member of the Catholic Church.
A Memorial Mass will be held Monday July 22, 2013 at 12 noon. St. Martin of Tours Parish 2303 54th Ave East Fife, WA 98424.
