Alice Helen (Seibold) Kearney, born June 15, 1925 to Philip and Josephine Seibold on a farm in Martin, North Dakota. She died peacefully and painlessly on March 18, 2013 from complications of congestive heart failure and pneumonia. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Donald Kearney; her daughter Marilyn Pepin and her 4 children: Shannon, Ryan, Megan and Marybeth; her son Philip Pepin and his 3 children: Bryan, Erik and Kevin; and her son Michael Hill and his daughter Kristen.
At age 9, Alice moved from North Dakota with her family to Portland, Oregon where she attended and graduated from the Catholic Immaculata Academy. She spent 13 years in Longview, Washington before moving to Seattle where she spent many years working in the retail and wholesale clothing industry with Jay Jacobs and Philip Weinstein, and later as manager of women's wear for Lions department store in San Diego, California. She moved to San Diego, California in 1970 where she married Donald Kearney a flight crew member for Pacific Southwest Airlines. After her husband retired from the airline, they spent the next 11 years in Fayetteville, Georgia before returning to the Pacific Northwest in 1997. They spent many happy years together traveling the world, from South America, Europe, United Kingdom, Ireland to Scandinavia and Russia. She was an avid cook and interior decorator and a very dedicated Christian.
A Graveside service will be held at 1 pm on Thurs., March 28, 2013 at Holyrood Catholic Cemetery, 205 NE 205th Street, Shoreline, WA 98155 (206-365-8404); with Reception following at Beck's Funeral Home, 405 Fifth Avenue S, Edmonds, WA (425-771-1234)
