Alice passed peacefully at the age of 84. Free spirit, beloved mother and wife, graduate of Stephens College and the University of Washington majoring in Drama and Speech, where she was a member of the Chi Omega sorority. Alice directed a traveling theatre company in Kansas, jumped horses, read to the blind, and wrote this award winning Haiku from the Japan-America Society:
the fluttering leaf
as it falls from the tree
makes me want to BE
Alice is survived by her three sons and their families: Hap, Therese, Andrew, and Lauren - Mick, Colleen, and Mick's children Matt and Allison - Randy, Joanie, Annie, and Nate, along with Alice's niece Judy and nephew Terry. Granddaughter of Civil War Veteran; Daughter of Spanish American War and WW I Veteran; Sister of Korean and WW II Veteran (KIA); loving wife of 62 years to Alvin Rehn, WW II Veteran.
