I have many memories and reasons to be thankful for having known Alice. I was applying for jobs in college and was nervous about taking typing tests so Alice had me come to her place of business and let me practice taking tests with her. When my mother (Alice’s cousin) was having some of the beginning signs of Alzheimers, Alice would have mom over for the day so I could do something with friends. I loved all the stories Alice told about mom and dad and grandma and grandpa. Several of these stories were shared over a beer at the tavern next to Alice’s house—that was fun. When we talked in December we were going to get together for crab after the holidays—I’m sorry that didn’t happen.

We apreciate and still enjoy the afgans that Alice crocheted for us and our grandchildren. Her humor and wit was enjoyed by many people.
