Amy Graham Rausch Obituary
Amy Graham Rausch

October 8, 1928 ~ May 26, 2018

Our beloved mother slipped peacefully from this world on May 26th. She gracefully endured her last years with dementia; our better memories are of her energy, kindness and devotion to her family and friends, her church, garden and dogs.

Amy was the daughter of Alonzo and Gertrude Graham from Pitcairn, NY. She proudly shared fond memories of the hard work on the farm: milking cows, fresh corn, making maple syrup. After college she worked as a dental hygienist in Rochester, where she met her love, William Rausch, at a ski club meeting. Bill and Amy married in Albany in 1956 and moved west, where they raised three daughters in the Bay Area.

The family moved to Bellevue in 1970, and embraced the Northwest life- camping, crabbing, golf and bridge- with family and many great friends. Amy and Bill were active members at Bellevue First Presbyterian Church.

Amy was predeceased by her brother Worth, of New York, and by her husband Bill in 2015. Amy is survived by her daughters Sue Jensen (Jim), Midge Thomas (John), Heidi Rausch and grandchildren, Hunter, Andrew, Anne, Charlie and William, and step-grandchildren Martha and Duncan.

We will hold a private celebration of her life on 6/23. Remembrances to the are appreciated.
