Avis Maxine SHULTS Avis was born in Sioux City, IA on February 17, 1922. She passed away on May 2, 2012. She moved to Oregon as a small child and then to Seattle where she graduated from Broadway High School. She was married to Calvin Shults for 57 years until his death in 2001. They bought a dairy farm in Redmond and raised four children. She was an active member of the American Legion and the Girls State program, Happy Valley Grange and other clubs. She was kind and caring, and she had a wonderful sense of humor. She is survived by her sons, Bruce, Ron (Julie), Keith (Terri), and daughter Calene Williams as well as 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held at Happy Valley Grange, 19720 NE 50th St. Redmond, Saturday, May 12 at 2pm.
