Barbara Beers Obituary

Barbara Jo BEERS Age 60, of Federal Way, Washington past away Monday, May 30, 2011 in her home surrounded by her family, after a long fight with brain cancer. Born in Vallejo, California, February 20, 1951 by her late father, Glenn and Patti Gough, and lived in Chanute, Kansas through her childhood years. Then moved to Seattle, Washington, and was married to George Beers, February 15, 1975. Barbara was a high school graduate, working within the Highline school district as well as Federal Way school district and Hamlin Robinson school, being disabled in 2007 with multiple sclerosis. She loved driving to Kansas in the summers to visit family, camping at donkey creek, she enjoyed canning, and gardening, going to the casinos, and loved to take care of everyone else. Barbara is survived by her husband, George of 36 years, her daughter Jami Hansen and her husband Gavin and their three childrell, Cody, Christi en, and Madison, of Federal Way, Washington, her daughter Kari Beers and Clifton with their son Jordan of Burien, Washington, and her son Timothy Beers, and his wife Helon, and their son Timothy Jr. and daughter Nicole of Laurel, Maryland. She is also survived by her sister Cherie Gough, brothers Tad Gough and Michael Gough, with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held June 11, 2011, 2:00pm at LifeWay Church, 5015 SW Dash Point Road, Federal Way, Wa 98023, potluck gathering to follow.

Thankyou for sharing your Barb with us she was a very person and carying person when our son went to HRS school and I think I have a picture of her at the 25 of the school. I think on day in the highline area a long time I saw in her red car and her name on the plate and aime in one lane and she was in the other lane wish I could have said hi .Thankyou again Judi Wergeland -Rammage
