Betty Luella Mattson Obituary
Betty Luella Mattson

Betty Luella Mattson, 84, passed away Monday, Oct. 14th, after a long battle with Alzheimer's. She was born to Mary Margretta and Perley Lee Beck, October 29, 1928, on a small farm in Queen City, Missouri. Her family moved to Everett, Washington in 1935.

Betty graduated from Everett High School in 1946, and in 1948 married Dayle W. Langdon. They lived in Bellevue where they raised their four children and owned and managed Bellevue Appliance and TV. In 1972 Betty worked for Sears in the Customer Service Department until she retired in 1990.

Betty met Sanford Mattson while attending Single Adult Fellowship (SAF) and they married June 21, 1980. Together they formed Remarried Adult Fellowship (RAF), where they hosted many wonderful gatherings and events, and had many close friends. Betty was an active member of Neighborhood Church, where she and Sanford also enjoyed many great friendships.

Betty is survived by her husband Sanford Erland Mattson; her brother Billy Beck; her four children: Debra and Gailen Ludtke, of Bellingham; Daniel and Cindy Langdon, of Normandy Park; David and Linda Langdon, of Vancouver; and Diane and Kevin Minor, of Sugar Land, Texas; 9 of her 10 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.

A Memorial service will be celebrated at 2pm Sunday, Oct 26th, at Bellevue Neighborhood Church. A private family burial has taken place at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park, in Everett.

Special thanks to Flora and Al Apopei, and the staff of Bridle Manor in Kirkland, for their wonderful, loving care of Betty.
