Carolyn McAusland FORD Carolyn McAusland Ford passed away March 5, 2011 at her home in Whittier, California. Carolyn was born August 18, 1955 in Seattle and graduated from Bellevue High School in Bellevue. She attended the University of Colorado and the University of Washington before becoming a commercial pilot at Kenmore Air in Bothell. Her wonderful parents Donald McAusland and Virginia Calvert McAusland preceded Carolyn in death. She is survived by her husband Corey Ford and their two sons Steven and David, all of Whittier, California. Her sister Mary Walker of Sammamish and brother Cal McAusland of Kirkland also survive Carolyn,as does Cal's significant other, Jennifer Sisson of Kirkland and her sister in law Amy Ford Andersen of Seattle. Her niece Laurie Walker of Issaquah and nephews William Walker III of Sammamish and Travis McAusland of San Juan Capistrano, California also survive her. Carolyn was blessed with incredible energy and athletic abilities. She was an expert water and snow skier who took great joy in sharing those activities with her family and friends. Carolyn was known as "Tex" by most of her friends and she touched many people in her life. Carolyn flew airplanes from the age of 13 and enjoyed many years as an accomplished commercial pilot before devoting herself to raising her family. A celebration of life will be held 4:00 pm March 22 at Overlake Golf and Country Club in Medina.
