"Cathy brought happiness and comfort to our little Brooklyn Ave. apartment we shared as U.W. students and Calvin Club buddies. I truly loved and admired this woman who enriched our lives in so many ways. She was a true friend. " Love to Bill and family, Nancy Rettig (Woodinville, WA)

My goofball buddy for so many years. An extraordinary mind bordering on over the top Mensa. She was a gleaming light. The joyful picture in her obit shows a The Newfoundland flag pin I gave her upon returning from my bicycle trip across Canada in 1977. She will always be on my heart along with Michael and Joe.

I was so sad to read about Cathy. We worked together on some great projects - and we bonded as women of a certain age sometimes do - she was like the sister I never had. I wondered why I hadn't connected in a number of years. Now I know. My best to you and Joe who she always spoke of fondly. She is missed.

Cathy was a bundle of energy - smart and interested in everything. She was a bright light in the Municipal Building when we both worked for the City of Seattle. I think of her often, and have smiled a lot in the last few days as I remember working with her.

Michael,
My condolences. I remember Cathy's high spirits from the Mouthbreather days.

What a tragedy! She was one of the brightest on the team of my Office of Management & Budget. A real joy to be around and work with.
