Cecelia Jeanette HAGLUND Cecelia Jeanette Haglund went home to be with her Lord on Monday, Feb 7, 2011 at age 92. Cecelia, the oldest of 9, was born to Johnnie and Marie Johnson, Norwegian immigrants in Terry, Montana on 5/30/18. At a very young age Cecelia moved to and grew up in Ferndale, WA. Upon HS graduation in 1936, she moved to Seattle and lived with her Aunt Josephine. She then had the opportunity to attend Everett General Hospital School of Nursing, graduating in 1940. Returning to Seattle, her enjoyable career included work at Seattle General Hospital, Overlake Hospital in Bellevue and a retirement center in Vancouver. Cecelia met Harold in 1940 and upon his completion of service in the Navy during WWII, they were married on 12/29/1945 at the Seattle First Covenant Church. Mercer Isl became home in the late 40's where they raised two children. In 1973 they moved to Vancouver, WA and soon after retirement moved to Federal Way in 1985 and then into the Gardens at Wesley Homes in 2006. Throughout their 65 yr marriage, she was a devoted wife and mother. She was actively involved in church activities, BSF, Women Aglow, career, hobbies and travels. She is survived by her loving husband, Harold; 4 sisters: Marian (Vic & Elmer preceded in death); Lillian (Myrl, both preceded in death); Pearl (Phil); Myrtle (John). 4 brothers: Norman (Marian); Bud (Flora, preceded in death); Carl (Joann); Harold (Barb); and many generations of nieces and nephews. 2 children: Dianna (Glenn); Darrell (Delann); 1 grandson: Brian (Claire). A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, Feb 26th, at 1:30 pm at Seattle First Covenant Church, 400 E. Pike St, Seattle WA. 98122.
