Charles E. Young

Charles E. Young, of Lake Forest Park, WA passed away peacefully in his home on September 7, 2012. Chuck was born in Minot, ND, January 7, 1932. His parents along with his two brothers and sisters moved to the Seattle area in 1936. Chuck was preceded in death by his brothers Fred and Jack Young. He is survived by his two sisters Corinne (Cay) O'Brien of Puyallup, WA and Mercedes Benscoter of Deadwood, OR; along with several nieces and nephews. He graduated from Seattle University with a degree in Theology and worked his way through school by playing trumpet in a local band. In addition to his longtime career as a master cabinet maker he was a true "renaissance man" whose various activities included: art, music, landscape design and computer engineering. He served his country in the US Coast Guard from 1953 - 1955. Chuck will be missed by his family, friends and community. At his request, no services were held.
