Clayton Earl Hamilton

Clayton Earl HAMILTON Clayton Earl Hamilton, age 85, died peacefully on April 7, 2011 with his loving family by his side. Son of Carroll and Josephine (Nichols) Hamilton, Clayton was born October 18, 1925. He lived his early years in Alta Loma CA. When his father passed in 1939 Clayton and his brother, Rex, ran the family fruit stand. They served many Hollywood royalty. As a 21 year old Clayton joined the Marine Corps and was stationed in Japan. He belonged to the Mt. Rainier League and was also a member of the VFW. In 1952 Clayton moved to Washington state. In 1956 he started a business called "Maple Valley Humus". He had the business for 33 years before retiring. Clayton was a founding father of the Maple Valley Chamber of Commerce. He cleared many of the roads we now drive on today in Maple Valley. Clayton was also in the Sheriff's Dept. (Bellevue), a firefighter and paramedic. He was an amazing man and father. In 1969 Clayton married his "Sweetness", Carolyn (Dee) Hamilton, and they have been married for 41 years. They were always together. Clayton was predeceased by his father CC Hamilton, mother Josephine Hamilton, and brother Rex Hamilton. He is survived by: his wife, Carolyn (Dee) Hamilton; son, Derek Hamilton of Seattle; daughter Lori Hamilton of Seattle and her 2 children, Miguel Bennett and Andre Zeumault; great grandson, Christian; son, Jack Cooper with wife Sherry; son, Gordon Cooper with son Steven; daughter, Joyce Cooper and granddaughter, Kelsie Sykes.
