Collin Blakley Obituary

Collin Edward BLAKLEY Collin Edward Blakley passed away on April 16, 2011 at home surrounded by family and friends after a brief but valiant battle with cancer. Collin was born on Nov. 5, 1935 in Seattle, Washington to Edward F. and Frances Blakley. He graduated from Franklin High School and enlisted in the Air Force. He gradu ated from the University of Washing ton with a degree in business and began a successful career in banking during which he graduated from Pacific Coast Banking School. Collin and his wife Jean owned and operat ed a business in Seattle for many years before he retired. Collin's passion for judo began while at the University. Collin was a founding member of Budokan Dojo in Seattle where he made many lifelong friends. He also enjoyed fishing and golf. He was preceded in death by his daughter Jennifer Ann. Collin is survived by his wife Elizabeth Jean, son Matthew Collin, sister Sally (Joe) Jacobs and many other family members and friends who loved him and will miss him dearly. At his request, no services will be held. Remembrances may be sent to Providence Hospice of Snohomish County (425-261-4777).
