Dale Charles Fritz, 88, was born to Clarence and Flora Fritz in Minneapolis, MN on August 11, 1924 and died peacefully in his sleep February 7, 2013. Dale served honorably in the Army Air Corps. He met his love, Ruth Fones and was married for over 59 years until her death in 2010. He put himself through school and graduated from UW with a Master's in Engineering. He was variously employed as navigator, professor, and nuclear engineer. Dale and Ruth have reunited leaving behind sons Allan (Skyler), Robert (Patti), daughter Pam Stockman and granddaughters Pearl and Nadia. He also leaves behind sister Dorothy Lindstrom. Dale was a Boy Scout leader for many years, teaching life skills to countless scouts. A longtime steward of the environment, he enjoyed many glorious days with the Happy Hikers Club. A jack of all trades, Dale never passed an opportunity to teach us how to build, repair or craft projects. Remembrances can be made to King County Search and Rescue or the Sierra Club.
