Daniel G. DAHLQUIST Born July 26, 1960 in Seattle; Dan unexpectedly passed away May 1, 2012. He is survived by his daughter Amy and her mother Julie; his mother Rose Dahlquist; sister Kathie McAllister (Tom), 2 nieces and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father George Dahlquist (Judith). Dan was kind, smart, funny, and dear to all who knew him. He had a wonderful sense of humor and he loved to laugh. Dan grew up in Edmonds, lived in Seattle and had many life-long friends. He graduated from Woodway High School in 1978, attended Central Washington University and graduated from City University. Dan was a talented artist which led him to a career in graphic design and marketing. Dan's design work and logos can be seen on many local sports teams, restaurants and advertisements. Dan served in the military and was stationed in Germany where he spent most of his free time traveling and enjoying all that each city had to offer. This experience ignited his interest and vast knowledge of history and the world around him. The light of his life was his daughter Amy and Dan adored being her father and an active part of her life. His passions included both watching and playing sports such as baseball, golf and hockey, running, debating politics, cooking, music and time with his family and friends. Dan was an exceptional father, devoted son and family member and a true friend. His easy going spirit touched our hearts and he will be missed by so many. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, May 9th at 11 AM at Christ the King Church. Remembrances may be made to Christ the King School, Seattle. Hoffner Fisher & Harvey
