Daniel Michael FINK October 17, 1952~October 1, 2010 Danny, Husband, Father and Friend, Carpenter, Baseball Coach, Brother, Uncle, Cousin and famous for saying "It won't be as long as it has been," passed away Friday, October 1, 2010. After graduating from Franklin High School, Danny worked for Remo Borrachinni's Gingerbelle Bakery before enrolling in a carpentry apprenticeship program. A descendant of Tsimshian whale rider Anna Pike and her husband Charles Rosler, Danny took to carpentry like a fish to water. Danny reveled in life, history and acquired a vast knowledge of music, politics and construction during his lifetime. Danny was a keen and knowledgeable collector of Northwest Coast Native art and crafts; his eye for excellence in the execution of an idea was stunning. During the last decade Danny ventured into community development and organization work. He served on many committees and is credited with putting down Community Renewal Act and its companions, misuse of "blight" and Eminent Domain, in Rainier Valley. Danny was home during his illness and with his wife, Denise Gloster and son, Ian Gloster-Fink as he left this life. He will be deeply and terrifically mourned and missed. A Memorial Service to celebrate and share in Danny's life will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in Rainier Avenue Church, 5900 Rainier Avenue S., Seattle.
