Three years ago, when I was on Deployment with the USS Hartford, David had members of his church send me emails to wish me a Merry Christmas. I will always be thankful for that sentiment. He had a big heart, and his friendship to my family will always be remembered with love.

My association with David was primarily connected with Masonic related functions. Nevertheless, I considered him one of my best friends.I especially appreciated the diversity of his music. At lodge one evening I was asked to sing "The Saint Louis Blues" (a song one of the members had heard me sing before). Without prior warning and no sheet music, he produced one of the best versions of this piece I have ever heard as backup. I was also very impressed by his great book " David vs Goliath" He will be sorely missed by all.

David was a very open-hearted multi-talented man. I enjoyed being able to play alongside him, and learn quite a few guitar and music tricks from him during the years we performed music at Church by the Side of the Road. He will be greatly missed here, but is playing in heaven now. My prayers to his wife Beverly and all of the family.

David once brought members of his church and friends together to send email Christmas wishes to my son while he was spending his first Christmas away from home at sea. It was just one example of the generous nature of this man who I knew for 30 years through the PNWSA and, after, our continued friendship. I had a blast during the last 3 years meeting David and Brian Templeton for dinners as I travelled up to Seattle. I will miss them both. David's musical talent was enormous as was his capacity for friendship.

David was indeed a very talented man. I did not know him well, but every meeting with him was always meaningful. I met David when he was a member of the Pacific Northwest songwriter's group. Sincere condolences to his family.
