Dolores Borella MILT Dolores went home to be with the Lord on March 4, surrounded by family. Her passing was the end of a 9 year battle with blood cancer, which she fought with great courage and determination. Dolores was born June 28, 1927 in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho to Claraand Harry Probst. She moved to Seattle with her mom and younger sister, Elizabeth, in 1940. Dolores was a Worthy Advisor for ARC Assembly No. 23 Order of Rainbow Girls. She graduated from Franklin H.S. in 1945 and spent one year at Washington State University. She then returned home to work for the FBI. Dolores met Jack Milt at the family drug store in Lakewood and married April 9, 1948. They spent their time together in Rainier Beach raising their family, water skiing on Lake Washington, and snow skiing in the Cascades. They moved to Bellevue in 1975 and later moved to Merrill Gardens in Renton in 2007. Dolores earned a reputation as a gourmet cook and meticulous housekeeper. She also enjoyed gardening, knitting, tennis, and aqua aerobics. Dolores spent many summers at the family cabin at Lost Lake near Shelton. This is where she loved to entertain family and friends; especially her cherished grandchildren who spent many summer days enjoying the love and attention of a doting grandmother. Following Jack's retirement in 1984, the two enjoyed countless wonderful trips together, including their favorite winter place at the Hale Koa Hotel in Honolulu. Dolores will be remembered for her energy, active lifestyle, joy, and kindness. Her legacy is a treasury of an adoring family and dear friends who will love and cherish her memory and the heart prints she left in each of their lives. Dolores is survived by her husband of 62 years, Jack Milt, of Renton; her daughter, Shelley Hume (Greg), of Lake Oswego, Oregon; her son, Gordon Milt, of Kent; grandchildren, Darcy Wise (Brian), of Lake Oswego, Oregon; Lindsay Jordan (Ford), of Raleigh, North Carolina; Kelsey Baldwin (John Mark), of Beaverton, Oregon; and Heather Milt, of Bellevue; and four great grandchildren. Her sister Elizabeth preceded her in death. A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. this Friday, March 11, at Rainier Beach Presbyterian Church in Seattle. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either Providence Hospice of Seattle, 425 Pontius Avenue North, Suite 300, Seattle, WA 98109 or Rainier Beach Presbyterian Church, 9656 Waters Avenue South, Seattle, WA 98118.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

Dear Shelley and Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. She was another member of that 'greatest generation,' who faced challenges with courage and grace. I know your mom was a special lady, and I am so glad she was such an active part of all of your lives, and an inspiration to you. I know she is rejoicing in heaven, and that your memories of her will continue to bring you joy.
