Dorothy E. COOK|
Dorothy was a lifelong Seattleite, born March 18, 1934, died September 9, 2013.
She was proud graduate of Holy Names Academy and a member of the Magnolia community and Our Lady of Fatima parish since 1963. Dorothy worked tirelessly on the issues near and dear to her; family, children's welfare and the poor, serving on numerous charities and organizations, especially the Association for Catholic Childhood.
Dorothy loved to gather with her friends and family and celebrate life. The energy, passion, and love of those around her gave her great joy.
Loving mother of Kathy Taylor (Mark), Michael (Ann), Colleen Cook (Robert Bartlett), Mary Beth Cook, and Steve (Kathleen); grandmother of Dr. Eva (Jake), Jessica, Heidi, Derek, Erica, Bridget, Connor, Carolyn, James, Cahalan, Aidan and Claire. Sister in-law of Fr. Michael Cook, SJ. She treasured time with her family and was so happy seeing her grandchildren launch off into their own lives and careers.
Preceded in death in 2001 by John Patrick Cook, her loving husband of 45 years.
Recitation of the Rosary will be Sunday, September 15th at 4 PM and the Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday September 16 at 11:00 AM BOTH at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 3218 W Barrett St, Seattle 98199.
