Duncan Fraser Pope|
Duncan passed away peacefully on 9 July 2013. He was 94.
Duncan was born to Frederick Wm. Pope and Anna Elizabeth Fraser 3 September 1918 in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
He graduated from Broadway High School-- an earnest and conscientious student. He continued his education at the University of Washington.
Duncan served with honors in the U.S. Army during WWII in tampes, France as well as other European, African and Middle East locations. While on duty in France he met and married Elfriede "Fidi", his loving wife of 56 years who preceded him in death.
Duncan thoroughly enjoyed his career with the Boeing Company's customer services division as Communication Manager. This assignment took him to many foreign countries including Japan, Angola, Iraq and Iran.
Duncan was a true gentleman to all who knew him. Whether you worked with or for him or just a friend, you were always treated with utmost respect.
There will be no services at Duncan's request. -- The next time you're out for dinner, order a Manhatan and raise your glass in Duncan's honor -- he would do the same for you.
