Edward David Joneschild|
Surrounded by his family, Edward David Joneschild, M.D. passed away peacefully on February 21 at age 73. He will be remembered by friends and family for his infectious smile and hearty laugh. A local pediatrician for over forty years, he touched the lives of many families in the local area.
Born in Helena, he was the only son of Edward and Faye Joneschild. After graduating from WSU, he pursued his medical degree at UW. His pediatric residency took him to Denver, where he met and married Carol, his loving wife of 45 years. They spent two years in Taiwan during Ed's service in the Navy before returning to Seattle to continue his pediatrics practice. He was actively involved in many pediatric organizations throughout his career.
Ed loved skiing and sailing. He was passionate about great food and good wine, and made friends easily. He delighted in the company of his young grandchildren and valued his many lasting friendships.
He will be greatly missed by his wife, Carol; daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth Joneschild & Dustin Gilbert; son and daughter-in-law, David & Kristi Joneschild; and three grandchildren, Katherine, Helen and Leo.
A memorial service will be held at the Seattle Yacht Club on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 1PM.
