Edward Waldemar Kutch Obituary
Edward Waldemar Kutch

Edward Waldemar Kutch completed his life's journey on October 28, 2012, surrounded by family in the home he built in the Normandy Park Highlands and in which he raised his family. Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, in 1915, Ed married the love of his life, Lillian, in 1942. He was a teacher in a one-room schoolhouse on the Manitoba prairie, a flight instructor for the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II, and a graduate of the University of Manitoba. He moved to Seattle in 1948 and worked for Sears, Roebuck and Company where he was Building Superintendent and Communications Manager. A nature lover, avid swimmer and skilled waterskier, Ed loved the waters of Lake Chelan and the beaches of the Big Island of Hawaii.

Ed is survived by his wife of over seventy years, Lillian; daughters Sandra Keeler (Steve) of Kent, Bonnie Kutch of San Diego, and Darlene Scancella (Jim) of Hawi, Hawaii; son Wayne Kutch of Snohomish; grandchildren Greg Keeler of Bellingham, Angie Brown of Sammamish, and Tiffany Weston of Lake Tapps; and six great-grandchildren. A celebration of Ed's life will be held on Sunday, November 4, at 2:00 p.m. at The Cove in Normandy Park, 1500 Southwest Shorebrook Drive, Normandy Park, Wa., 98166. Donations may be made to P.A.W.S.
