I was shocked to hear about Efthi's death. He was kind and generous. Even 10 years after graduation, he kept in touch with me even though I'd never taken a class from him and he'd never been my advisor. It's just how he was. The UW iSchool is poorer for his absence.

I'm deeply saddened to hear of Efthi's passing. He good friend and colleague, and I really enjoyed our collaborations. He *always* made time to work with students, and was a patient and skilled mentor and advisor. My condolences to his family. He will be missed.

My Deepest condolences Jagoda, Nicholas, Veta, And Agapios during this tender time of loss of Efthi, Husband, Father, Son and Brother. I've only known Efthi during this last year of his life while living with illness. As part of the SIMS Sangha it was a great joy to know Ethi and to be a part of the healing meditation circle; he welcomed us into his home weekly, with a spirit of joy, inspite of illness.
What he brought to this gathering during this time was so dear and sincere and we will miss him. Again my deepest sympathy.
