Elenor Joanne (Bullock) RICHEY Elenor Joanne (Bullock) Richey died unexpectedly at her longtime home overlooking Alki Beach on July 22nd. She was born at home in White Center on January 27, 1934, the daughter of Charles and Grace Bullock. She graduated from West Seattle High School in 1951 where she excelled in the arts and in drama. After high school she worked for various dentists and as an assistant for Dr. Elizabeth Peterson. She personally saw the tragic results of the polio epidemic of the early 1950s. She met the love of her life, Charles A. Richey, Jr. in 1952 and they married in 1955. She worked at Seaside Pharmacy for many years after it was purchased from her father-in-law by her husband. Together she and Charlie raised two daughters in the Alki and Fauntlee Hills neighborhoods. Joanne is survived by daughters Barbara (Art) Wuerth of Tumwater and Carol (Dale) Olsen of Seattle, by elder sister June Reid of East Bremerton, and by her longtime caregiver and friend Karena Stevens. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles (in 2005) and by sister Joyce O'Reily and brothers Gene and Walter Bullock. There will be no service. From her Nephew. Haven't seen her since my dad Charles Bullock (her brother)worked on the apartment over the Pharmacy over 40 years ago.
I know she will be missed.
