Elizabeth (Betty) MAXAM Elizabeth (Betty) Maxam passed away on April 16, 2012, just a few weeks shy of her 97th birthday. Fred Maxam, her husband of 72 years, is missing his beloved Betty with her sweet ways and charming humor. Elizabeth taught elementary school before staying home to raise her children. Son Bill Maxam and daughter Pam Forquera remem ber their mom as fun loving and civic minded. She served as a Cub Scout den mother, Brownie lead er and PTA president. Daughter- in-law Lois Maxam and son-in- law Ralph Forquera remember Betty as kind and supportive. Grandchildren Zach and Lauren Maxam and Aimee and Paul Forquera continue to swap stories about grandma's playful ness and her "one liners." Elizabeth is survived by one of seven siblings, sister Theora Gomness, who will miss their laughter filled chats. At Elizabeth's request there will be no services. A family gathering to celebrate her life will be sched uled at a later date. Remem brances are encouraged to the Ryther organization of Seattle.
