An amazing Tanzanian woman, who changed the lives of children and taught adults that caring about those children is what our future is all about passed on December 30, 2013. Flora Komba Glimsdale was born on June 27, 1964 in Songea, Tanzania She organized people who might help her cause, and soon founded the Mwangaza Foundation in the US which supports children in poverty stricken Songea with housing and education. Flora is survived here by her husband, Devin and 8 year old daughter Gloria; and throughout Japan and Africa by her mother, 4 sisters and 2 brothers.
Funeral Services will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church in Kirkland on Monday, Jan 6 at 11:30 am with a viewing prior to the service and a reception following. Burial will follow at Holy Rood Cemetery, Shoreline at 2:00 pm.
Family and friends would like to thank Seattle Cancer Care Alliance and Evergreen Hospice for their care of Flora.
