Frederick Myers Obituary

Frederick H. MYERS Frederick Howard Myers died Sunday April 24, 2011 at his home in Sammamish, WA. Fred was born in Seattle January 28, 1949 to Howard & Gladys Myers of Kirkland, WA, the oldest of four siblings. He graduated from Lake Washington High School in 1967 and graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD, in 1971. Fred was passionate about every aspect of his life, which he enjoyed and lived to the fullest. He loved sports, especially rugby and baseball. He started playing rugby when he was at the academy and continued playing competitively for several years after. He devoted countless hours to coaching, mentoring youth baseball. He relished the time he spent with family and friends. He was always the life of the party! Fred is survived by his siblings, Scott Myers (Chris)of Kirkland, Gary Myers (Renee) of Tacoma and Cheryl Saiz (Ted) of Bayfield, CO, as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents. Viewing will be at Barton Funeral Home of Kirkland, WA Thursday, May 5 from 3-5 pm. A military funeral will be held at the Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, WA, May 6 at 11:00 am with a reception following at Meridian Grange 15422 272nd Kent, WA. Fred, may you have fair winds and following seas.
